Born from Pain. Refined by Study.

“I built this because nothing else actually stopped the pain.”

Founder Workspace

I am a lifetime learner and an author. The Stander is a precision-engineered study stand designed to elevate books, documents, and digital devices to a natural reading height. Created for long reading sessions and professional desk work.

The Search for Anything That Worked

As a lifetime learner, spending hours a day hunched over books, and an author spending thousands of hours reading and writing, the pain became a constant companion. I didn't just want a solution—I was desperate for one. I spent a small fortune on stands, risers, and ergonomic gadgets, but they all failed. Some collapsed under the weight of my volumes; others simply weren't high enough to lift my gaze off the desk.

  • I invested a fortune in both money and time into products that didn't solve the issues.
  • Most stands were too flimsy or much too low.
  • My body continued to suffer while I tried to work.

Designing What Was Missing

Focused work with The Stander

When the market failed to provide a solution that could handle the weight of heavy volumes and long sessions, I decided to build it myself. I didn’t just want another product; I wanted a platform that would change how I study. The Stander was designed to elevate materials meaningfully, support upright posture, and remain rock-solid.

Every design decision was made to end the pain and put focus back at the center. The result is The Stander.

Built for Real Use

The Stander (now version 1.1) is constructed from high-grade lightweight aluminum and paired with a durable veneered wood platform. It’s not built to break; it’s built to last. It arrives fully assembled and adjusts smoothly through precision tension joints designed for daily rigors.
