Books of any size, including heavy textbooks, Talmud volumes and thick reference books, as well as tablets and laptops that fit on its 32 × 22 cm (12.6 × 8.7 in) platform.
Yes. The large page holders are sized for books of around 1,000 pages, so a thick volume stays open at your page while your hands are free to write, type or turn pages. When you are done, they fold under the platform and add no height.
No. The page holders have rounded, rubberized tips that hold springy new hardcovers firmly while protecting thin, delicate pages from tearing or marks.

The reading height goes up to 17.8 in (45 cm), measured to the bottom of the book lip, where your book or device actually sits. That covers eye-level reading at a regular desk and at a standing desk. At full extension, the empty stand is 26.5 in (67 cm) tall overall, measured to the top of the platform.
The platform measures 32 × 22 cm (12.6 × 8.7 in), large enough for an open book, a tablet or a laptop.
Yes. It folds down to 6.5 cm (2.6 in) to the platform, or 10 cm (3.9 in) to the top of the book lip, and weighs about 1.5 kg (3.3 lb), so it slips into a bag or many desk drawers.
